Our 12th Mission in the north eastern state of Tripura was organized from 10th-15th November 2018 at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital in Agartala in partnership with ONGC (Tripura) and supported by RBSK & NHM (Government of Tripura).
The team consisted of medical as well as non-medical volunteers including plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, nurses, clinical coordinators, patient caregivers, imaging technicians, speech therapists, child life specialists, and nutritionists from Mission Smile (GC4) and supported by the staff of Tripura Medical College and Hospital (TMCH).
At the onset of the mission our target was to screen 80-90 patients and provide 60 surgeries. We’re delighted to announce that we have achieved our target and even exceeded the target with total 94 screenings and 61 successful cleft rectification surgeries done along with 2 post-ops.
Senior officials from ONGC Tripura as well as the Medical Superintendent of Tripura Medical College and Hospital met the mission team and congratulated them for this noble work.
We thank and congratulate all the members involved in the 12th Cleft Surgery Mission in Tripura.
