12th Tripura Mission Gifts 61 Smiles

Mission Smile organised its 12th Mission in the northeastern state of Tripura from 10th-15th November 2018, in partnership with ONGC (Tripura). The venue was at Dr B. R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital in Agartala. The RBSK & NHM (Government of Tripura) supported the mission.

The team had medical as well as non-medical volunteers. It included plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, paediatricians, nurses, clinical coordinators, patient caregivers, imaging technicians, speech therapists, child life specialists, and nutritionists from Mission Smile (GC4). Also, the staff of Tripura Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) rendered their support.

Our target was to screen 80-90 patients at the mission’s onset and provide 60 surgeries. We have achieved our target. We even exceeded the target. There was a total of 94 screenings and 61 successful cleft rectification surgeries done along with two post-ops.
Senior officials from ONGC Tripura and the Medical Superintendent of Tripura Medical College and Hospital met the mission team. They congratulated the Mission members for this noble work.

We thank and congratulate all the members involved in the 12th Cleft Surgery Mission in Tripura.

Your contribution (as a donor) and your cooperation (as a volunteer) will help fulfil our objective of making India cleft-free. Donate to Mission Smile to gift smiles.
