IOCL & Mission Smile’s Partnership Gifts 300 Smiles In Assam & Meghalaya - Mission Smile

Mission Smile had entered into a partnership with IOCL (Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.) to restructure 300 smiles of patients with cleft deformities in Assam & Meghalaya in Nov’2018.

Under this agreement, IOCL supported 50% of the cost and balance 50% of the cost is borne by Assam and Meghalaya Governments under PPP model. Under IOCL banner, Mission Smile team visited different districts of Assam and Meghalaya and conducted awareness meeting and screening camps in collaboration with RBSK and NHM, Govt. of Assam and Govt. of Meghalaya.

The district officials supported with all possible help during the IOCL months and sent patients in good numbers to our centre. Altogether we have screened 450 patients from both the states and with support from IOCL have been able to bring smiles to 200 cleft patients of Assam & 100 patients from Meghalaya.

Shri. Uttiya Bhattacharyya, Chief General Manager (Indian Oil AOD State Office), has visited the Guwahati Comprehensive Cleft Care Centre, at the premises of Mahendra Mohan Chowdhury Hospital on 14th March and expressed his happiness for the work being performed by the centre. The CGM, IOCL interacted with the patients and their families and expressed his pride that IOCL has sponsored for such a life-changing cause.
