Mission Smile participated in INDOCLEFTCON 2018. Eventually, the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate & Craniofacial Anomalies (ISCLP & CA) organised it at Swissôtel, Kolkata from 23-25 March 2018. In fact, this was the second time that Mission Smile participated in INDOCLEFTCON.
The conference registered about 250 participants. However, they were primarily medical practitioners from specialised domains. Their domains included – plastic surgery, maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, speech-language pathology both from India and abroad.
Plastic surgeons Dr Anjana Malhotra, Dr Manish Ghosh, Dr Hiteswar Sharma and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dr Rangnath Jhawar & others had represented the Mission Smile INDOCLEFT conference.
Dr Rangnath Jhawar presented his paper entitled ‘Cleft Care delivery Model in India and Mission Smile’s role in it’. The delegates widely acclaimed this at the conference.
Mission Smile also put up a trade stall at INDOCLEFTCON 2018. This certainly gave us comprehensive visibility. It brought in many footfalls that included the national and international delegates, the visitors, and the conference faculties.
We are thankful to the conference organisers – ISCLP & CA, for hosting such a well-planned event in the City of Joy. We look forward to participating again—next year.
