From isolation and despair to a new sunshine! That’s the journey of life abided by hope, trust and smile.
We are glad to share the grand success of our Sonarpur Camp conducted at ISPAT Co-Operative Hospital with 40 surgeries performed in just 3 days.
When it comes to spreading awareness and convincing the patients for the surgery, we often find people scared or rather unwilling to go for the treatment because of lack of confidence, social stigmas and dilemmas. For our patient recruitment motivators, this was a challenge but we are glad that their honest efforts showed a huge response.
We organized one pre-screening camp at Raidighi (South 24 Parganas) where 10 to 15 patients were brought to us from East Midnapur by our patient recruitment motivators. Direct promotions of the camp were also carried out through posters, pamphlets and public announcement systems in target locations, which resulted in significant turnouts. Out of a total number of 57 patients screened, 40 successful surgeries were conducted at the camp.
A small team though but our joint efforts helped us succeed in our mission. On behalf of Mission Smile, we heartily acknowledge their undaunting efforts.
Thanks to the following specialists and caregivers for their selfless effort!
